Pardonnez the English s.v.p.
Homesick was my friend and guitar mentor for a time during the 1970s and early 1980s. I miss those times. Seems like Homesick is following so soon after Snooky Pryor in death. Those two they were friends.
He has always played around with the truth of his age in years. When he perceived or imagined that younger would get him more respect, then he would claim a later birth date. But when he saw respect going to the aged bluesmen, then he would claim an earlier birth date. I think the truth of the matter is that he was born around 1916 in Fayette county Tennessee.
I don't know the official title of this song, or what album it might be on, but if you ever come across his old recording "My Babe, She Ain't Sweet No More" check it out, you will here some real nice slide guitar work on that one.
One obit/bio says that Homesick's playing was influenced by his cousin Elmo James,
but Homesick said it was the other way around. This was confirmed by Floyd Jones, who did not have Homesick's tendency to distort the truth. Homesick said of Elmo's first recording of Dust My Broom, (on which Homesick played bass and SBW2 played harp) "We had to show him how to play it."

Sinon regarde ici : http://www.sonnyboy.com/records/goin.html
