Sans concerts et CD il ny pas de blues vivant et on peut parler du blues artistes mort pour une autre 200 ans

sorry but my French is not good enough to discuss this matter in French. Perhaps somebody can translate.

My point is that it is very hard to keep this great musical tradition alive and I need all the help I can get to get the music of guys like BOO BOO DAVIS, BILLY JONES, DOUG MACLEOD, BIG GEORGE JACKSON etc to the music fans. This is the LAST generation of real and living blues artists !!!!!!! Give these guys the respect they deserve while they are still alive. Go to their concerts and buy their records.

instead of talking about dead artists or artists that just copy old records or try to sell other music as blues.

I agree with you for the other artist that try to sell other music as blues, we have a famous one here in France (also in Belgium or in Switzerland..... Ah Ah Ah...) and his name is Jonnhy Hallyday, you will just cry by listening his last album....
But for the artist that just "copy" old records, I disagree, that's why the blues is still alive. My point is that the blues was build step by step by copying this musical tradition and ever 10 or 20 years there is a genious that permit the blues to grow, to go higher. I respect the still alive traditionnal blues artists but the dead one too.. I respect the blues artist that will come tomorow. That's the really condition for an "alive music", past, present and future....

BLUESLAND is a forum of blues which speaks about the blues, (old blues, new blues, liveblues, dead blues...).
It's not a place to advertise or of "special offer".
We tolerate announcements of concerts and releases of CD provided that's not the only purpose of the forumeur.
I believe that's clear no?
